A short video of a flight attendant entertaining passengers with his violin playing has widely divided internet users.
The clip was posted on Reddit under the headline: Fiddler and the friendly skies.
"Just landed in SFO (San Francisco) and heard something as we awaited passengers to deplane...It was a definite pleasant surprise and welcome change compared to all the news we hear from airlines these days."

The video shows the crew member walking up and down the aisle while passengers are in their seats.
For some the musical interlude was "a lovely surprise".
"My guess is he actually likes the passengers and is very friendly and kind. Not like he's making much with working at one of the lowest paying mainlines. Yet he has a good attitude despite it," was another.
However to some other users he struck the wrong chord, with one describing it is as a "sly move": "He has everyone sitting, captivated by his music, while he slowly walks down the aisle with anyone in his way and exiting the plane first."
Others were more forthright.

"This would be annoying as hell. Can't imagine breaking out into song on any instrument on a flight," was one comment.
Another added: "I would absolutely hate this. It makes my ears hurt."
"Just because I'm trapped and sitting doesn't mean I have any desire to be serenaded," chimed in another commentator.

Many comments highlighted the man at the front who looked less than impressed: "Blue shirt guy is two seconds away from jumping out of the plane."

Flight attendants have been known to showcase their music and comedy chops to unsuspecting travellers.
