These capitals are the most 'instagrammable' in Europe
For anyone planning their Euro summer for 2025 who loves posting their trip on social media, the most 'instagrammable' capitals in the region have been revealed.
A company analysed 43 European capitals based on their popularity on the social media platform.
Researchers checked the number of Instagram hashtags, average annual number of tourists, average sunny hours per year, and the most 'instagrammable' locations within each city.

10. Vienna, Australia
Vienna, Austria, made the top ten, with nearly 17 million hashtags.
The Schönbrunn Palace is Vienna's most Instagrammed spot, and the city sees around 4.5 million visitors each year.
With 2,048 sunny hours, Vienna offers plenty of picturesque moments for capturing the culture and architecture.
9. Prague, Czech Republic
The city of Prague came in ninth place, with over 19 million hashtags. Known for the ornate Charles Bridge, Prague attracts seven million visitors annually and offers 1,668 sunny hours, making it a photogenic destination for travellers looking to capture the historic beauty - and probably, the pubs.
8. Rome, Italy
Everyone wants to visit European city, Rome, which ranked eighth with 30 million hashtags.
As one of the most visited cities on the list, with 38 million annual visitors, the ancient Colosseum is an Instagram favourite.
The city sees 2,473 sunny hours per year, making it a prime destination for capturing historical and 'likeable' pics.
7. Bern, Switzerland
The beautiful Alpine destination of Bern, Switzerland, came in seventh place, with 31 million hashtags.
Though it's a smaller destination with 478,000 annual visitors, the lovely Chapel Bridge and 1,887 hours of sunshine make it a great spot for grid-worthy shots.
6. Amsterdam, Netherlands
Amsterdam, Netherlands ranked sixth, amassing nearly 37 million hashtags.
The canals of Amsterdam provide endless cute scenes, attracting 8.8 million visitors annually.
With 1,662 sunny hours a year, the city is a favourite for capturing holiday moments.
5. Madrid, Spain
The Spanish capital of Madrid, Spain, came in at fifth place with 51 million hashtags.
Madrid offers the most sunshine among all the capitals, with 2,769 sunny hours per year.
The Royal Palace is a good spot for posing for photos.
4. Berlin, Germany
Berlin, Germany, took fourth place, with over 54 million hashtags.
The historic Brandenburg Gate continues to be a must-visit hotspot.
3. Moscow, Russia
It might be off limits now for foreign visitors, but those living in Russia made Moscow the third most popular Instagram spots.
Red Square is the top attraction.
1. London, UK
London, UK, is the most 'Instagrammable' European capital, the research found with the highest number of Instagram hashtags at over 167 million.
With 30 million annual visitors and 1,633 sunny hours per year, London offers plenty of spots for photos to make those back home jealous.
