Disney Animal Kingdom theme park visitors evacuated after becoming stranded near lions
Scores of visitors were evacuated from a Disney wildlife reserve in the US after becoming stranded in open-air vehicles for close to an hour.
TikTok user Katelin was filming a lion while on the guided tour of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park in Florida when the vehicle she was in stalled.
"Thirty minutes later and we're still stuck in the lion enclosure. We haven't moved," Katelin says in video posted on February 12, before panning down to show the length of the vehicle and fellow stranded passengers.

In a separate video, Katelin filmed ladders up against the vehicles and Disney park staff helping to evacuate guests.
As she films, a park staffer can be heard asking all guests to put away all their cameras.
"We are evacuating the Safari. We were actually stuck in the lion area for 40 minutes," Katelin says.
After pausing filming to exit the vehicle she films again, panning to show the length of the train in her view.

"There's more on the other side of the bridge," she exclaims.
"Now we have to walk the rest of the way through the safari, past animals."
At one point the visitors make their way through horizontal chains on the ground and cattle grids.
"You need to help your wife and your kids," Katelin tells a man next to her.
"Now we're on a walking safari with toddlers," a woman in Katelin's group tells the camera.

"This is ridiculous. If someone gets hurt we're owning Disney," Katelin says.
As she continues filming the single file walk through the park, she passes the front of the open-aired vehicle, one of its front wheels badly mangled and responsible for the evacuation.
She says Disney gave guests one lightning lane pass for its Animal Kingdom attraction as compensation.
The pass allows a "faster, priority queue available" at select Disney attractions.
The Kilimanjaro Safaris at the Disney Animal Kingdom takes a guided tour through 110 acres (44 hectares) of land where 34 species of animal live.
The species include lions, rhinos, cheetahs, crocodiles, elephants, hyenas and zebras to name but a few.
