Inside lavish new Delta One airport lounge in Los Angeles
American airline Delta has unveiled its new Delta One Lounge at LAX.
The company, which also recently opened a similar lounge at New York at JFK Airport, promises a "premium experience" for passengers who are members or who are flying in the airline's premium cabins.
It even has a terrace overlooking the runway.

Adjacent to the Delta Sky Club at Terminal 3, Delta's second Delta One Lounge has seating for nearly 200 guests.
It's connected to the Delta One check-in.
"From JFK to LAX, the opening of this lounge allows us to offer our customers a premium experience from coast to coast," Claude Roussel, Vice President – Delta Sky Clubs and Lounge Experience, said.
The landscaped terrace overlooking the planes includes accent pillows by celeb-fav brand Missoni.
Artwork by artists from the United States, Philippines, South Africa, Haiti, Japan and more also adorn the walls of the lounge.
The décor is 'inspired by both the natural and manmade beauty of Los Angeles, and the lounge colour palette evokes the landscape of Southern California," Delta says.
The menu, which can be ordered from your seat, includes dishes like crispy duck tacos, pan-roasted salmon and roasted corn pizza.
In a fun twist there are also with signature cocktails represented by airport codes.
Try a Mai Tai-inspired cocktail representing Tahiti (PPT), or a gin-forward mix that nods to London (LHR).
There is also a dessert table.
There's even a sushi bar and a rotating selection of location-themed Bento boxes, featuring items from Paris, Tokyo, and Boston – all LAX Delta One destinations.
There's also a nod to the glamour of old Hollywood with the dramatic wall lighting in the library lounge and dining room areas.
There are also eight private relaxation pods equipped with zero-gravity chairs and full-body massage chairs. Special lamp lighting in the wellness area mimics the light colours affecting the body's circadian rhythms, bosses say, helping your body get acclimated to the time zone to which you will be flying
