Qantas announces surprise sale with over one million domestic fares discounted

Today Qantas has announced a surprise 72-hour sale with over one million seats discounted across 100 domestic routes.

Travellers looking to book a local getaway can snap up Domestic Economy sale fares to over 60 destinations starting from $105 one-way for travel from May to December.

More than 30 routes are on sale for under $150 one way, including Launceston to Melbourne, Maroochydore to Sydney and Brisbane to Hervey Bay.

Qantas tickets include checked baggage, complimentary food and beverages, free Wi-Fi on domestic aircraft and seat selection.

The sale follows Qantas Frequent Flyer yesterday launching a new type of reward seat, called Classic Plus. Classic Plus reward seats can be booked across international flights and will be rolled out on domestic flights by the end of the year.
