Celebrity Cruises worker reveals the one thing she always packs for a cruise
One-in-four Aussies plan to go on a cruise this year, and if you're a first-time in particular it might be a little overwhelming working out what on earth to pack.
With cruises travelling around all parts of the world, through different seasons and with different types of activities, it might be easy to pack too much, or worse, forget something important.
To help all those Australians looking to set sail, the team at Celebrity Cruises have shared some of their top packing tips.

Lauren Vaitkus is the Hotel Director on Celebrity Equinox, so definitely knows a thing or two about how to make the most out of your cabin storage.
But there is one thing she always has in her pack to make sure her clothes are in tip top shape.
"It's often forgotten that irons and steamers can't be used onboard but fear not - tissue paper or thin cardboard can be a great tool to keep your clothes crease-free," she shares with 9Travel.
Oh and if you're worried there might not be enough hanging space, cruise ship rooms hold a special feature.

"Many first-time cruisers don't realise that unlike in hotels on land, onboard our ships the stateroom walls are magnetic," Lauren says. "Magnetic hooks can be a great way of utilising wall space for items such as hats or jackets."
Lauren also has another piece of advice to make sure your clothes always come out unscathed.
"If there's items in your suitcase that could pull at or damage clothing (i.e. makeup or jewellery), I'd also recommend turning clothes inside out when packing. This way, if an accident does happen, it'll be on the inside of your clothing which no one will see," she shares.
Fellow cruise Hotel Director Mario Valentino, who works on Celebrity Solstice, points out that travellers don't need to worry about packing toiletries.
"When travelling with Celebrity Cruises, guests can 'wash up' on us as each stateroom comes with Celebrity's custom blends of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion. Suitcase explosion no more," he shares with 9Travel.

He also knows how easy it can be to over pack, so he has one piece of advice.
"Write a list and stick to it – that way you won't have any surprise items to try and squeeze into your suitcase at the end," she says.
