'Most value for money': Study reveals world's best budget-friendly attractions
After shelling out big bucks for airfares, accommodation and food, sometimes the cost of actually seeing a city can seem like just a little too much.
Luckily, Premier Inn have done the hard work for you in a new study, figuring out the best-value attractions around the world.
The hotel chain have analysed data on admission prices, as well as the time travellers spent at each location on average, across 300 locations.
So, whether you like perusing palaces, marvelling at museums or basking in the beauty of lush gardens, here are the best budget-friendly places worth their admission fee.
10. Changdeokgung Palace, South Korea
UNESCO World Heritage Changdeokgung Palace is one of Seoul's most well-preserved palaces and the perfect place to head for a culture hit found alongside beautiful nature.
Note: entry is free to the palace if wearing hanbok (traditional Korean costume) which many tourists opt to do.
9. Gyeongbokgung Palace, South Korea
Famed for being the largest and most beautiful of the five grand palaces built during the Joseon dynasty, while you do have to pay for entry at Gyeongbokgung Palace, there are guided tours that leave from the Information Centre.
8. Alexandria Library, Egypt
Known for being one of the biggest and most important libraries of the ancient world, Alexandria Library in Egypt is an essential stop for any history buff.
According to the study, most visitors spend three hours on average here, making it a cost per hour of $1.63.
7. El Limon Waterfall, Dominican Republic
Found at the end of a lush and hilly 2.5 kilometre track, it's no wonder tourists often check out El Limon Waterfall via horseback tour.
This impressive 40-metre high waterfall found in Las Terrenas is definitely worth the trek, if only for the refreshing cool dip in the freshwater pools found underneath the falls.
6. Singapore Botanic Gardens (Orchid Garden), Singapore
Get up close to 1000 species and 2000 hybrids at the Orchid Garden in the Botanic Gardens of Singapore.
While entry to the Botanic Gardens itself is free, it's worth paying the entry fee to enjoy this colourful exhibit.
5. Mysore Palace, India
Located in Mysore, Karnataka, this sprawling three-story historical palace is every bit as ornate as you'd expect.
With most visitors spending two hours wandering the palace and the on-site Residential Museum, visit on Sundays and public holidays to see the palace illuminated, while the annual Dasara Celebrations sees the palace lit up with 97,000 electric bulbs.

From paintings and video to sound installations and cutting edge exhibits, the University Museum of Contemporary Art in Mexico City is dedicated to showcasing the best of Mexico-based artists.
Currently home to 2185 pieces by over 300 artists, Premier Inn data shows that visitors spend a whopping three hours here.

The oldest museum in Taiwan, this elegant building houses over 110,000 artefacts chronicling the history and culture of the country.
Most visitors spend 90 minutes here, with a cost per hour of just $1.01.

Not only does The National Museum of Malaysia have exhibits showcasing early history, Malay kingdoms and the colonial era, there's also an outdoor area of interesting artefacts to explore.
Afterwards, take a short stroll to nearby Perdana Botanical Gardens - Kuala Lumpur's first large-scale park.
