Did you really go to the beach if you didn't share a photo of the waves on Instagram?

Some beaches of course lend themselves more to photo opportunities than others, and a new study has revealed which stretches of sand are currently the most popular online.

The study by Heepsy calculated the number of Instagram hashtags per kilometre of shoreline - with research looking at beach length, total hashtag count, and annual visitor estimates.

And two Aussie beaches have landed in the top ten of the most Instagrammable beaches of 2025.

Read on to see where they landed.
