Revealed: The airport with the best dining options in the world

Let's face it: flying long-haul is never going to be a comfortable experience.

But some airlines certainly do it better than others.

Forbes has named the best airlines around the world for 2025, based on a number of very strict judging factors.

Emirates was named the best airline in the world, due to the fact that it "continually refines every aspect of the passenger experience", the publication reported.

The Dubai-based carrier ensures every aspect of a customer's journey is as easy and comfortable as possible, whether you're in economy class or at the pointy end of the plane.

Forbes notes that it's the first autism-certified airline, with more than 30,000 cabin crew and ground staff trained to support travellers with autism.

Air New Zealand also got a nod in the awards, for "Innovation of the Year" in their economy class.

The Kiwi airline was celebrated by Forbes for its Skycouch feature, which turns a three-seat row into a sofa.

The seats have adjustable leg rests that can create a lie-flat couch, so two people can comfortably sprawl out on a long-haul flight.

Unsurprisingly, Singapore's Changi airport was named Best International Airport. It boasts the world's tallest indoor waterfall, a 24-hour movie theatre, and a rooftop pool and Jacuzzi where travellers can watch planes take off.

The airport was also awarded Best Airport Food: "The more than 200 dining spots at the airport and the adjacent Jewel Changi mall are so good, they draw locals who aren't even travelling."

Emirates was also tipped as having the Best First Class offering.

"Emirates suites deliver sky-high luxury: floor-to-ceiling doors, zero-gravity seats, Bulgari fragrances and food—ranging from movie snacks to caviar—whenever hunger strikes," per Forbes.

The honour of Best Business Class went to Qatar Airways Qsuites, which caters to groups, and can be configured into twin, double or quadruple suites.

The awards were judged by a committee and an invitation-only survey of more than 9,000 of the most well-travelled people in the hospitality industry.

"Today's travellers are all too often inundated with clever marketing or self-serving focus groups, making it harder than ever to distinguish genuine excellence from polished branding," says Peter Greenberg, Emmy Award-winning travel journalist and host of Eye on Travel on CBS Radio.
