Mi Goreng Toastie
Everyone's favourite budget dinner has been given an upgrade.
If you head to the VividPlace Food Trail, just around the corner from Circular Quay, you'll find a slew of mouth-watering food options, including this cheesy, noodle-y toastie from Dutch Smuggler.
Spiked coffee
Two things guaranteed to keep you warm while taking in the lights of Vivid? Coffee and booze.
PIER Bar has combined the pair, with spiked Little Marionette coffee at their pop-up barista cart. Guests can choose from a variety of carefully selected spirits to pair with their favourite caffeinated brew.
Pavlova to go
If you're more into desserts than boozy coffee, PIER Dining is also offering their iconic PierLova as a takeaway option.
Their take on a pavlova - with meringue, white chocolate, raspberry - it's served in a handy waffle cone so you can take it with you as you wander around the harbour.
Pullman Sydney Hyde Park has embraced the colour of Vivid with specialty cocktails and mocktails.
With specialties named Vivid Paradise, Pink Gin Fizz, Green Lantern and a mocktail choice called the Sydney Sunset, it provides the perfect way to get in the Vivid mood.
Their food lineup for the festival includes barbequed pulled pork or vegan jack fruit sliders with a side of crispy chips, and truffle mushroom arancini balls.
Glowing fairy floss
The Bulletin Place laneway isn't the only thing being lit up for Vivid.
Stop by Three Bottle Man for glowing fairy floss and an opportunity to spin a giant wheel and win free cocktails.
Vivid Fire Ktchen
Vivid Fire Kitchen is an ode to all things BBQ from around the world - Filipino, Spanish, Sudanese, Lebanese, Greek, Mexican, Italian and much more.
But it's not just about eating. Chefs will hold scheduled demonstrations to dive deeper into the art of fire cooking. Flame throwers, fire pits and fire sculptures will keep you warm on cold Sydney nights as you tuck into your dinner.
Of course, there are s'mores, cooked over an open flame, for dessert.
Messina's exclusive creation
Also at the Fire Kitchen will be a pop-up from Sydney's fave ice cream store: Messina. Of course, they're bringing out special menu items for Vivid.
Expect classic nostalgic flavours and treats like spiders, reimagined with their legendary jersey milk ice cream.
The number one must-try on their menu is a warm Milo fudge sundae, developed to keep you warm even when it's chilly out.
Stuff yourself with a pan-Asian feast
Head to House Canteen for one of the best Vivid views, right under the Opera House. For the festival, they're hosting Taste, See, Connect, where you can dive into an array of sushi, share plates, dumplings, and a special dessert for just $49 per person.
With just 40 people at each dining session, you'll be encouraged to switch seats during the evening, all in the name of embracing our shared humanity and forming new connections.
Fine dining establishment Aria will be transforming into the more laid-back the Aria Snack Bar for Vivid.
The menu includes mini wagyu cheeseburgers, crab croustade, and black lime and chili prawns.
