Noosa Food & Wine Festival announce second ticket release for Noosa Noir

With just over a month until the Sunshine Coast's premiere foodie weekend Noosa Food & Wine Festival kicks off, organisers have announced a second ticket release for their signature gala affair, Noir Noosa.

The sought-after long-table evening will make its Hastings Street debut on Saturday May 18, taking over Noosa's main drag under a canopy of stars and twinkling fairy lights.

With its iconic setting and evening time-slot, it's touted as the most exciting event of this year's festival, according to festival director Sheridah Puttick.

"[This] is the first time ever Hastings Street has done a gala dinner, and it's black tie so there'll be ballgowns," she told 9Honey Travel.

On top of the 420 tickets already sold, organisers have now released an additional 80 seats, giving more food-lovers the opportunity to be part of the festival-first dining extravaganza.

The four-course dinner has been described as a theatrical and glamorous celebration. For $295, guests can sip bubbles and tuck into a French-inspired menu that still spotlights Queensland producers – think Mooloolaba yellow fin tuna and Hervey Bay scallops.

The 2019 event also coincides with Moët & Chandon Impérial's 150^th Anniversary, meaning the bubbles will be free flowing.

Interest around the event has been huge, Puttick said, with organisers fielding a flurry of questions from excited attendees ahead of the event.

"We're actually getting questions [from ticket holders] about whether they can wear a coloured bow tie – of course they can," Puttick said.

"We're not that formal about it. By 'black tie' we're just saying it's time to dress up."
