Keen for a beach day but not the crowds? These are Queensland's top secluded beaches to seek out
Heading to the beach is a staple Aussie pastime.
However, sometimes you want to get away from the crowds.
Number crunches have come up with the best sandy spots to visit in the Sunshine State, Queensland, for peace and quiet.
LifeFlight Lotteries looked into metrics such as Google searches, TikTok popularity, wave power, how to get there and mobile coverage to determine the most secluded beaches to go to in the state.
Here's what they found.
7. Mackay Coral Cay
Mackay Coral Cay ranked in seventh position.
This beautiful cay is what could be described as a tropical paradise and it's only accessible by boat.
It boasts protected reef flats and colourful fish, while enjoying the calm waters.
Due to its location and low mobile coverage, LifeFlight Lotteries recommends packing extra food and first aid supplies.
6. South Gorge Beach
In sixth position was South Gorge Beach on North Stradbroke Island.
Tucked between steep rocky headlands, it feels almost hidden, giving visitors a peaceful pocket of coastline away, the experts said.
"Strong waves and medium mobile coverage are reasons for visitors to be prepared by bringing extra water and food, as well as first aid supplies," they noted.
5. First Bay Beach
Entering the top five with is First Bay on the Sunshine Coast.
The researchers called the spot, just south of Coolum Main Beach "the perfect spot for those looking for peace and solitude without sacrificing stunning views."
They noted there are strong waves.
4. Blue Pearl Bay, Hayman Island
In fourth position is Blue Pearl Bay. This marine-protected beach has soft waves, and abundant fish life.
With medium mobile coverage and varied wildlife, a first aid kit is recommended when exploring this beach, the experts advised.
3. Chalkies Beach, Whitsundays
Making it into the top three is Chalkies Beach.
The turquoise water-lapped beach has 320 monthly Google searches and 12 mentions on TikTok.
"With access only by boat and low mobile coverage, it becomes one of the perfect options for those looking for a unique and personal experience," the researchers said.
2. Lucinda Beach
In second position was Lucinda Beach in Far North Queensland.
"It's located at the southern tip of Hinchinbrook Island and is perfect for those looking for quiet areas away from tourists," the researchers said.
"The distance from the road to the beach is barely 100 metres, the waves are soft and with medium mobile coverage."

Beaver Cay was crowned the best secluded beach in the Queensland
The tiny sand cay lies just off the outer reef near Mission Beach.
The only access is by boat making it the quietest and most stunning sandy spot in the state.
