Weather data reveals which Aussie beach will have perfect weather on Christmas Day

Christmas on the beach is always a good idea. You can't get more Aussie than that!
But the last thing you want is grey skies or threatening rain.
Thankfully, frameshop.com.au has analysed historic Bureau of Meteorology weather data spanning the last three Christmas Days past, to determine the best beach to visit on the 25th.
The study ranked beaches by temperature (max and min), sunshine exposure and rainfall averages.
So if you love a sunny, cloudless day in the mid-20s, then this is the list for you.

Shell Beach, Shark Bay, WA
According to data, the beach with the best weather on Christmas day is Shell Beach in Western Australia.
30.5 °C highs, zero rainfall, and blazing sunlight make it as close to weather perfection as it gets – the only place in the study to report zero rainfall on Christmas day.

Stumpy's Bay, Mount William National Park, Tas
Tassie may be chilly at times, but Stumpy's Bay is your best bet for a cloud-free Christmas.
The max temp is just 20.3, but it's one of the sunniest spots on the list.
Torquay Beach, Torquay, Vic
This stunner along the Great Ocean Road tops the list of Victorian beaches for Christmas Day celebrations.
Mild 25 °C temperatures, strong sunlight and barely a drop of rain make it great for a family picnic.
Lady Musgrave Island Beach, Bundaberg, Qld
It may not be the easiest to get to, but this island is your best bet for comfortable 29-degree weather and clear skies on the 25th.
Spend the day snorkelling with turtles and spotting vibrant marine life.
Greenly Beach, Eyre Peninsula, South Australia
You can't go wrong with a trip to Coffin Bay National Park, though Greenly is one of the best.
And the data proves it - of every beach on this list it is one of those with the lowest chance of rainfall.
North Cronulla, Sydney, NSW
North Cronulla beach, in Sydney's south, came in second on the list of best NSW beaches for Christmas.
It's great for family celebrations too, with plenty of parking and heaps of space on the sand.
Lake Mckenzie, K'gari, Qld
This perched lake (meaning it's made only of rainwater) is on the island of K'gari and surrounded by prostine white beaches.
Expect great festive weather, perfect for a beach day.
Little Salmon Bay, Rottnest, WA
How about an island Christmas? Little Salmon Bay on Rottnest ranked high on the list, thanks to its average max temp of 26.6 and zero rainfall.
Cottesloe Beach, Perth, WA
Or you can stay on the mainland – Cottesloe Beach right in Perth is a great contender for perfect Chrissy weather, too.
