Irish airline's new fare guarantees an empty seat between you and fellow passengers

Besides being bumped to business or first class, boarding your flight to discover an empty space between you and your seatmate is like striking aviation gold.

Irish Airline Aer Lingus understands the elbow space struggle, and is introducing a new fare – AerSpace – which guarantees an empty seat between you and fellow passengers.

The new premium travel experience is only available for short-haul guests flying to select destinations across the UK and Europe. These passengers will be guaranteed an aisle or window seat on the first row of the aircraft, with the middle seat left unoccupied for a roomier and more efficient travel experience.

As an added bonus, AerSpace passengers will receive reserved cabin space directly overhead, complimentary lounge access, fast-tracked security, priority boarding and free onboard refreshments.
