Former UFC fighter Tim Hague has died after being knocked out in a boxing match in Canada.
Former UFC star Tim Hague has died just days after suffering a brutal knockout in a boxing fight.
His family released a statement on social media, confirming the 34-year-old has passed away after spending the weekend on life support.
"It is with incredible sadness, sorrow and heartbreak to report that Tim has passed away today.
"He was surrounded by family, listening to his favourite songs. We will miss him so greatly. We ask for privacy during this difficult time."
Hague was knocked out during the second round of a bout with Adam Braidwood in Canada on Saturday.
Hague made five UFC appearances between 2009 and 2011, debuting with victory over Pat Barry in UFC98.
Tributes have flowed on social media for the Canadian.
