Thongs the big Olympic sellers

Australians know them as thongs, but Brazilians call them flip-flops and they've been the hot item at Olympic merchandise stores in Rio De Janeiro.

The Rio 2016 designed thongs have been among the best selling items, along with caps and pins, at the Games' major stores at Olympic Park and Copacabana during the two weeks of competition.

Organisers say the two stores have hosted an average of 85,000 customers each day.
