John Millman stuns Roger Federer in major US Open upset

FULL MATCH REPORT - MILLMAN DEFEATS FEDERER

That's Millman's first win against a top-10 opponent as Roger Federer slowly trudges off after his loss.

Millman came into the match ranked 55th and as a result it is Roger Federer's first loss to an opponent ranked over 50th overall.

Millman following the win:

"I'm probably in a little bit of disbelief. I have so much respect for Roger and everything he's done for the game and he's been a hero of mine. Today he wasn't at his best, but I'll take it. 

I felt like a deer in the headlights to begin with. The feet weren't moving and Roger had it on a string. But I got out of a tough second set and really found my feet and started to get really aggressive."

Millman on facing Djokovic next:

"I'm playing some good tennis right now and Novak's an incredible player. He moves incredible well and he's another guy I've looked up to with his game style."
