Dylan Alcott wins French Open, beating Andy Lapthorne in final for 11th Grand Slam
No.1 seed Dylan Alcott of Australia beat No.2 Andy Lapthorne of Britain 6-2 6-2 to win the French Open men's quad wheelchair title for the second time.
Alcott broke Lapthorne's serve six times on the way to his 11th major singles title.
Alcott became just the third Australian to defend a French Open title in the Open era. He was also the first Aussie to defend a Roland Garros title since Todd Woodbridge won consecutive boys doubles titles in 1988-89.

Alcott has tasted success at every Grand Slam event this year.
He won the Australian Open singles and doubles titles, then won the US Open doubles while making the singles final. He has won ever major singles title, including six Australian Open titles.
