Duncan Scott imitates Kyle Chalmers with 'shush' celebration after win at Australia vs The World
In front of a sold-out crowd at Brisbane's The Valley Pool on Friday night, two-time Olympic swimming gold medallist Duncan Scott decided to imitate Kyle Chalmers in the 50 metre skins event of Australia vs The World.
Australia was trailing The World 39-32 when British Scott and Aussie Matt Temple jumped into the 25-metre pool.
Scott was first at the tumble turn and ended up winning with ease to earn The World five points in the unique, and frankly complex, event.

The 28-year-old then put his index finger to his mouth before cupping his hand to his ear, playfully silencing the home crowd.
Chalmers first did the "shush" celebration after winning gold in the men's 100m freestyle at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, signalling for critics to be silenced after he had faced intense scrutiny in the lead-up to the event.

With a smile, Nine's Cate Campbell asked Scott if his shush tonight was a nod to Chalmers, who was not competing at the event.
"Yeah, where is he?" Scott laughed.
"That's what I want to know ... nah, I'm joking.
"The World team are here to play, it's just a great meeting, the crowd turned up and I love that kind of thing and this environment."
Australia vs The World involved various skins events in freestyle, butterfly, backstroke and breaststroke along with a regular 400m freestyle, mystery mixed medleys, a fans choice mixed relay and freestyle mixed mega relay.
The full format was kept under wraps by competition organisers in the lead up to the event, with Kaylee McKeown telling Nine's Today "all I know is it's not the normal racing that you would typically see".
