Strongman breaks world record
When it comes to power lifting, the big boys of the European Strongman events sure know how to flex their muscle.
Whether it's lifting a giant concrete ball, pulling a jumbo jet or setting mind boggling records, wonders never cease.
Iceland bohemoth Benedikt "Benni" Magnusson broke new ground on the weekend, setting a deadlift world record of 461kg at a European Strongman event in the UK.
The 31-year-old was competing in Leeds, when he lifted more than two-and-a-half times his bodyweight to take the record.
And as the video shows, there's more strain on the bar than Magnusson.
The 461kg mark is roughly the same weight as a full sized grizzly bear or sword fish, while the lightest cars currently on the market - a Toyota Yaris and Mazda 2 - come in at 1050kg and 1070kg respectively.
The lift left Magnusson suitably pumped, so much so that he seemed unable to process a TV interviewer's question when she asked him to explain his process, with his only response being "what did you say".
Naturally, the video has gone viral.
