Torrey Smith's son in preseason training

The eldest son of San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Torrey Smith may be just two years old but he already appears keen to follow in dad’s footsteps.

Torrey Jeremiah - TJ - has been keeping a close eye on the old man in pre-season training and is even getting involved himself.  After dad shows plenty of fancy footwork of his own little TJ shows skill might just run in the family by tackling the rings with far more athleticism and stability than might reasonably be expected of one his age.

Slightly less impressive – but no less adorable – is his first try on the ladder before finding his rhythm with subsequent attempts.  Even the cameraperson can’t hide their delight.  And perhaps showing an awareness that a career in professional sport can be about mental toughness as much as brawn, TJ is also seen getting involved in some late night yoga.

Torrey Jeremiah became a big brother last month when Smith’s wife Chanel gave birth to Kameron James.
