'Wasn't on my bingo card': Biles reveals frightening health scare
Simone Biles revealed via an Instagram post on Sunday (AEST) that she almost died earlier this week after suffering a frightening health scare.
Sharing her experience to her 11.8 million followers, Biles could be seen wearing a number of hospital wristbands after suffered a “scary” incident.

The 29-year-old Olympic gymnastics star did not provide details of the health scare she suffered, but did thank those in her inner circle for helping her through her recovery.
“I’m not one to normally share things like this because I value privacy in today’s age,” she wrote in a post on her Instagram story.
“But almost dying wasn’t on my bingo card earlier this week.”
Biles revealed that her husband Jonathan Owens, a defensive safety for the Indianapolis Colts, was at practice with his team when she had her health scare.
“This was one of, if not the scariest experience of my life,” she continued.
“I’ve been in bed resting this week, I’ll explain sooner or later but shout out to my close circle who reached out, checked in, visited and/or sent flowers. Love y’all.”

She then shared a screenshot of her heart rate while resting, sitting at 126 bpm.
Biles followed the frightening reveal with a series of pictures of floral bouquets she had been sent, as well as an image of her in bed with her dogs.
“I’ll be here,” she concluded.
Biles has been vocal about her battle with mental health since breaking onto the global stage in 2016 at the Olympic Games in Rio.
In 2020, she struggled with “the twisties” but still managed to help her USA teammates win Olympic silver.
