Shaq shows he has no knack for bull riding

Shaquille O'Neal's skills on the basketball court could never be questioned, but when it comes to bull riding the big fella doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Despite being tall enough for his giant feet to touch the ground, the NBA great was no match for a mechanical bull when he tested his robotic bovine taming skills.

Appearing on US sports show, Inside the NBA, Shaq hit the saddle during a comedic segment to try and stay on for the mandatory eight seconds.

But time and time again the 2.16m giant hit the deck, much to the mirth of his co-hosts, as the rotating bull proved too tough to handle.

Until he eventually found a way to hold on.

Throwing his giant frame over the bull like a toddler holding onto a parent, the 147kg prankster managed to have the last laugh when he stayed in the saddle for 15 seconds, although it would probably be a stretch to call it a legal ride.
