'A while since being a rookie in the team': Sevens legend named for 'daunting' Test debut

Sevens superstar Charlotte Caslick will make her much anticipated Wallaroos debut against Fiji in Suva on Saturday.
Caslick, one of the greatest ever sevens players, has been named on Australia's bench for the Test match as coach Jo Yapp assesses her options ahead of this year's Rugby World Cup in England.
Caslick has been playing at fullback for the Queensland Reds but Yapp is sticking with teenage incumbent Caitlyn Halse in her starting lineup for now.

"It has obviously been a while since being a rookie in the team. But I'm really enjoying it and I feel like I'm learning a lot every single session," Caslick said.
"I am really proud of myself. I think being 30-years-old and putting yourself in a new environment and out of your comfort zone is always challenging, and the way that I've gone about it was a little bit different to the other sevens girls and did a lot of it on my own.
"It's been a little bit daunting at times, but I've been so well welcomed into the groups that I've joined that I really haven't felt out of place at all, which has been a credit to both the programs so far."

Caslick is one of six potential debutants.
NSW Waratahs prop Faliki Pohiva and ACT Brumbies hooker Katalina Amosa will start in a new-look forward pack.
Amosa is the sister of Wallabies hooker Brandon Paenga-Amosa.

Another sevens convert, Tia Hinds, join Caslick, Ashley Fernandez and Martha Fua as uncapped players on the bench.
Siokapesi Palu will captain the Wallaroos.
"Every player in line for a debut is deserving of their opportunity and this Test match will allow us to see some new combinations," Yapp said.
"There are plenty of inspiring stories with the new players coming in, as well as some who are returning from long term injury. Siokapesi Palu will lead us for this match and the Pacific Four series and the leadership group and players will support her.
"Fijiana will provide us with a huge challenge in their own country. The fan support will be on their side and we look forward to playing them here in Suva for the first time."
