Teenager Tom Lynagh zooms into Queensland Reds frame with star turn in trial match
Tom Lynagh's Super Rugby debut could be fast tracked after the fresh faced five-eighth's star turn in a trial game on Saturday.
Lynagh, the son of Wallabies legend Michael, got more game time than expected in Queensland's 42-33 loss to the Force with James O'Connor and Jock Campbell late scratchings due to positive COVID-19 tests.
The 18-year-old made the bold call to leave his family behind in England to follow the path blazed by his father at Ballymore.

Lynagh's older brother, Louis, has been a member of England squads but is yet to make his Test debut.
"I thought he was outstanding." Reds general manager of professional rugby Sam Cordingley said of Tom.
"It wasn't a huge crowd here at Ballymore with the circumstances but a loud voice, direction, really astute kicking and he's got exceptional speed.

"He's probably one of the fastest guys in our squad so we're expecting big things from him.
"Thorny's (coach Brad Thorn) not backwards in coming forwards in terms of picking young talent so I'd expect if the opportunity presents itself later in the season, we may see him getting his first Reds cap.
"Tom may not see time this year but if his trajectory continues from what we saw on the weekend then he'll probably pick himself."

Lynagh is living in Brisbane with his grandparents as he chases his Wallabies dream.
"I've heard all the stories and history about Ballymore from Dad and my grandad and considering all of that it's an honour to play here," Lynagh told reporters on Saturday.
"He (grandfather Ian) got a bit of deja vu on the drive, remembering when my dad debuted here at 18.
"It's been really good connecting with them after not seeing them for four or so years.
"I was feeling pretty nervous this morning, but warming up I got comfortable and I've got all the experience around me and I got a lot of confidence from that performance."
