Rugby club’s powerful message after teen tragedy
A local rugby union club in Brisbane has shared a powerful message after the death of a teenage player earlier this month.
Henry Page, a promising 18-year-old back-rower, graduated from St Laurence’s College last year and was a beloved member of the Easts Tigers.

Page’s season was hampered by injury, but he was expected to push for a Colts 1 spot in 2027.
The club’s Facebook page shared an emotional tribute to Page and urged those across the rugby community to rally around each other.
“The Easts rugby union community is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Henry Page. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, teammates and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him,” the post said.
“We extend our deepest condolences and send our love and support to all those grieving during this incredibly difficult time.
“As we also recognise Mental Health Month, we want to remind our community of the importance of checking in with one another. A simple message, phone call or conversation can mean more than we realise.
“Easts will always strive to be a safe and supportive place for everyone in our community. Our doors are open and there will always be someone here to listen.”
“Please look after yourselves and each other.”
Comments on the post described Page as a “top man” and a “Tiger for life”.
