Cheetahs' Henco Venter denied try after terrific chase by Stormers' Cheslin Kolbe

Stormer fans didn’t know what to celebrate more in their Super Rugby win over the Cheetahs.

The fact they blew their opponents off the park 53-10, or the never-say-die attitude of winger Cheslin Kolbe to chase down Henco Venter in the dying minutes of the game.

Venter took a pass off his teammate about 60 metres out before pinning his ears back and setting sail for the tryline to finally give his team something to cheer about.

Kolbe spotted his opponent almost five metres but never gave up on the play, and finally caught up with his man just short of the line.

The force of the tackle saw the ball spill loose, and the anguish on Venter's face and the subsequent slaps on the ground demonstrate just how long an afternoon it had been for the Cheetahs.
