Chief executive Michael Jones has agreed to leave the Brumbies, ending more than a month of drama that has engulfed the Super Rugby franchise.

In a statement released on Saturday night, both parties said they believed it was in the best interests of the club to settle the dispute outside of the courts so the focus can return to the players.

"I want to reassure our business partners, stakeholders, players, staff and members that the board has full confidence in the remaining executive management team within the Brumbies and our current financial position to continue operations throughout the 2016 season," chairman Robert Kennedy said.
