Fiji beat Aussies in key NZ sevens match
Australia have failed to secure top spot in their New Zealand men's rugby sevens pool, going down 26-15 to Fiji.
In a seesawing clash on Saturday in Hamilton, the two sides traded tries until the Olympic gold-medallists pulled away in the second half with a long-range Jasa Veremalua five-pointer and an Eroni Sau clincher.
They'll go on to face Pacific neighbours Samoa in Sunday's quarter-finals, while the Sydney Sevens-winning Australia will take on Kenya.
A semi-final against the fearsome South Africans could follow.
The All Blacks will play England in their quarter-final. A last-minute try to speedster Joe Ravouvou handed a sub-par Kiwi side a 17-12 victory over Argentina to guarantee them top spot in their pool.
England were thumped 28-7 Saturday evening in their final pool clash, failing to come to grips with the South Africans' pace and power.
South Africa finish first in Pool B and England come in second - forcing them to face the Pool C winners, likely to be New Zealand.
First up on Saturday, Australia made a winning start to their campaign, downing a valiant Spanish side 21-5.
