Ronda Rousey storms off stage
UFC favourite Rhonda Rousey made a shock appearance to promote her next fight after the weigh in for UFC 205 in New York.
Not long after after Eddie Alvarez and Conor McGregor weighed in for the bout, Rousey stormed onto the stage to promote her UFC 207 fight with Amanda Nunes in Las Vegas on December 30.
When her opponent, women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes, came out, the two posed for a photo and Nunes placed her clenched fist awfully close to Rousey’s chin.
Rousey didn’t seem to be enjoying the moment at all and after the obligatory stare down, both fighters had to be separated.
Nunes was asked about her thoughts on the match-up.
“I’ve been training for this girl my whole career in the UFC,” Nunes said. “Now I have the chance to defend my belt against her. It’s going to be amazing.”
Rousey didn’t look to be in the mood for a verbal slanging match.
UFC president Dana White tried to hold her on stage but the former women’s champion shrugged him off and stormed off without saying a word.
