Nunes smashes Rousey, defends belt

Amanda Nunes has shocked fight fans with a dominant victory over Ronda Rousey in their bantamweight championship bout at UFC 207 in Las Vegas.

The defending bantamweight champion smashed Rousey by TKO in the first round after setting the rhythm from the outset of the clash.

Rousey returned to the octagon, trying to reclaim the championship but was mobbed by a much hungrier fighter.

Rousey, the UFC megastar, hadn’t fought since her loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193 in Melbourne last November, with speculation that if she lost to Nunes, it may end up being her last ever fight.
