CHARLOTTE CASLICK - Touch football convert Caslick was the star of the show for Australia's women at the Rio Olympics. She proved herself to be the full package as a dangerous playmaker, displaying speed, smarts, strength and a bullet-like long pass any Test No.10 would be proud of.

BEN O'DONNELL - The 22-year-old personifies the new-look Australian men's team. His power, work-rate and courage has seen him stand out as one of the best rising players in the sport. He was immense as Australia broke their world series drought in Sydney this year.

INTERNATIONAL

PORTIA WOODMAN (New Zealand) - The most dangerous attacking player in the women's game, Woodman with the ball in hand in space is a lethal prospect for any rival. Australia's ability to mostly keep the ball out of her reach in the Olympic final was a key to their victory.

JERRY TUWAI (Fiji) - Fiji are chock-full of sevens superstars but it's the diminutive Tuwai who pulls them together and call the shots. Tuwai has seamlessly taken over from statesman-like leader Osea Kolinisau as captain and playmaker to keep the Olympic champions humming.
