Ben Tudhope has added another medal to his collection in Italy, claiming bronze in the men's banked slalom SB-LL2.

Just days after he won the silver medal in the snowboard cross, Tudhope returned to the slopes to compete in the banked slalom event - a solo time trial race.

Tudhope, 26, dislocated his shoulder when leaving the gates in the snowboard cross event, but that injury scare did not appear to worry him during competition on Friday.

The Australian star finished third after two runs in the men's event on Friday, beaten out by Italian gold medallist Emanuel Perathoner and Swiss star Frabrice von Gruenigen.

Perathoner dominated the field with his runs, recording the fastest time of 54.28 seconds to claim his second gold medal in Italy.

It is the third time in Tudhope's career that he has landed on the podium and it is the first time he has won two medals at the prestigious tournament.

He is the only athlete to do so for team Australia in Italy this year so far.
