One-handed miracle catch one of the NFL's best

A little-known receiver set the NFL playoffs alight with one of the season's best catches, but he was lucky the stupendous one-handed touchdown grab stood with replays showing he should have been penalised. 

Seattle Seahawks wideout Paul Richardson scored the first points of the wild card clash with the Detroit Lions when he reached over Tavon Wilson to haul in quarterback Russell Wilson's pass with just his left hand.

Clearly, the officials were as dumbstruck by what Richardson did as most fans were, because they missed the receiver yanking Wilson's helmet with his right hand, making it impossible for the Lions safety to see the ball.

Officials reportedly admitted to Detroit's coaching staff later in the game that they missed the call, which helped Richardson become one of the unlikeliest Seattle heroes with three catches for 48 yards as the Seahawks prevailed 26-6.
