Australia's Tom Burton wins gold in laser

Tom Burton has broken Australia’s gold medal drought after winning the laser dinghy.

The Australian, in his first Olympics, finished the necessary five places ahead of the leader, Tonci Stipanovic of Croatia, in the medal race.

Stipanovic won silver while New Zealand’s Sam Meech won the bronze medal.
