Olympic sprinter dealt suspended sentence amid cocaine controversy
An Irish Olympic sprinter has received a suspended sentence after being found guilty of allowing his flat to be used for the supply of cocaine.
Leon Reid, who competed in the men's 200m at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, was one of 18 people charged last year in relation to drug and firearm offence, all of which he rejected.
The 27-year-old has now been sentenced to 21 months – it's suspended for 18 months – and 220 hours of unpaid work.

Reid allowed friend and fellow athlete Romaine Hyman to use his flat in Bath, Somerset for the production of cocaine, which amounted to more than $900 per month.
Reid didn't reach the 200m final at the Tokyo Olympics but had won bronze in the event at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
He won European championship medals for Great Britain at the under-20 and under-23 levels, before switching eligibility to Ireland in 2018.
