Tennis hope Millman fit for Olympics

Australian tennis player John Millman is expected to overcome a wrist injury and compete at the Rio Olympics.

Millman withdrew from a Canadian tournament this week because of an injury to his left wrist which has troubled the world no.67 for some time.

An Australian Olympic team spokeswoman said on Friday that Millman will be fine to compete in Rio.

Millman is Australia's top-ranked player at the Rio Olympics, after Nick Kyrgios and Bernard Tomic pulled out, and heads a three-man tennis team also featuring Thanasi Kokkinakis and Jordan Thompson.
