LeBron James floored by Guerschon Yabusele in 'image that will go around the world'
The USA led from start to finish in the men's basketball gold medal match over France, but a moment late in the first half gave the French fans a massive reason to cheer.
Guerschon Yabusele surged towards the hoop and floored the NBA GOAT LeBron James. You can watch it in the player above.
"Yabusele puts LeBron James on a poster," Nine caller Brenton Speed quipped.

"That image will go around the world. King James on the deck as Yabusele took off from a long way out."
Sitting alongside him was Australian basketball legend Andrew Gaze, who was just as impressed.

"He's going to the bucket ... LeBron James didn't get there in time. The finish is world class (but) he will remember that for the rest of his life, Yabusele.
"You have that image and highlight to share for the rest of his life."
Yabusele has had one heck of a three weeks at the Paris Games. He led France in scoring in each of its two previous victories against Canada in the quarter finals (22 points) and Germany in the semifinals (17 points).

One reason he probably isn't intimidated by the US and its roster of NBA talent is because Yabusele used to play against them.
Drafted by the Boston Celtics in the first round in 2017, he spent two seasons with the team before being released in 2019.
Yabusele has been playing in Europe ever since and is currently with Real Madrid in Liga ACB.
