Olympic torch bearer takes a tumble

Imagine everyone you knew and then some had packed the streets as you were tasked to carry the Olympic torch, it would no doubt be one of the proudest moments of your life.

Now imagine you get your skates on and tumble over in front of everyone.

It's not a great moment, but at least one Brazilian torch bearer will be able to look back on it since it was, of course, caught on camera.

As he runs down the middle of the street his feet somehow disappear from underneath him, as if he's stood on an invisible banana peel.

Watching it, it's hard to not feel a little sympathy for the runner, but it's also rather funny as well.

It's not the first little slip the organisers have had with the Olympic torch this time around, with one man last week trying to put out the flame with an extinguisher.

But even with plenty of police and security around him, the runner couldn't be protected from his own traitorous feet.
