IOC looks into clash between athletes

The International Olympic Committee is investigating reports that some Lebanese athletes tried to block Israelis from boarding a bus to the Rio opening ceremony.

IOC spokesman Mark Adams said he was not aware of the incident on Friday but it was something to be taken seriously.

"Obviously it's a question first of speaking to the Lebanese to find out what, if anything, has gone on," he said.

Games communications director Mario Andrada said he had no information about the incident but would also make inquiries.
