Caroline Marton loses taekwondo match

Australian taekwondo competitor Caroline Marton has lost to Swedish fighter Nikita Glasnovic in the women's 57kg division.

Debutante Marton, 32, was beaten 4-0 in the round-of-16 clash.

Marton's campaign could be over as she faces a nervous wait to see if she qualifies for the bronze medal repechage later on Thursday.

Glasnovic must progress to the gold medal match for Marton to compete in the repechage; otherwise her competition is over.
