Aussie Olympians to wear green and white

Australian athletes will don green and white striped blazers with white bottoms during the opening ceremony of the Rio Olympics.

The Sportscraft-designed uniforms were launched in Sydney at 8.30am on Wednesday.

"I think it has got that fun Rio feel to it but it has that vintage inspiration to it from the previous Olympics," London Games silver medallist Jess Fox said.

The names of Olympic champions are on the lining of the blazers, which Fox said made it "really special".
