Alana Boyd fourth in Olympic pole vault

Australian Alana Boyd has finished fourth in the women's pole vault at the Rio Olympics.

The 32-year-old Boyd went within one centimetre of her PB when she soared over 4.80m at the second attempt, only to have three misses at 4.85m.

Ekaterina Stefanidi from Greece (4.85m) won the gold on countback from American Sandi Morris, with the bronze going to New Zealand teenager Eliza McCartney.
