Young prop proves a wrecking ball

Mounties rugby league player Luke Page has shown he should be playing in the NRL with the hulking prop proving a wrecking ball of unstoppable force.

A highlights reel of the NSW Cup player's recent performance against Manly has shown the 23-year-old is a class above his rivals in the second tier competition.

Showing no signs of self-preservation, the youngster who is on the books with the Canberra Raiders, tore holes in the Sea Eagles defence as he repeatedly charged into the line like a runaway train.

On several occasions he scattered rivals falling like tenpins as they tried to bring him down.

Page played a key role in the Mounties' 26-24 come-from-behind win over the Sea Eagles, with the Magpies scoring a crucial try to take the lead late in the game off the back of one of his bullocking charges.

The powerhouse frontrower was hailed as a star of the future last year by former Queensland State of Origin centre Josh Hannay, who now coaches Souths Logan in the Queensland Cup.
