Bunny Carter banned for taking out Norman

South Sydney firebrand Paul Carter will miss Friday's NRL clash with Penrith after pleading guilty to a dangerous contact charge.

Carter on Monday accepted an early guilty plea for an incident in the second half of Friday's loss to Parramatta in which he took out the legs of Eels playmaker Corey Norman as he kicked.

Eels centre Vai Toutai is free to play this weekend despite pleading guilty to a high tackle charge for a shot that left John Sutton with a bloodied nose.

Warriors prop Toafofoa Sipley has been spared from suspension despite being charged for a chicken-wing tackle.

Sipley, playing just his second game against Sydney Roosters on Sunday, was cited after wrenching Kane Evans' arm in the second half of the Warriors' 12-10 win at Mt Smart Stadium.

However the grade one dangerous contact charge attracts just 75 penalty points with an early guilty plea, meaning Sipley will be available for Saturday's clash with table toppers Cronulla.
