Warriors' Lisone to miss two NRL rounds

Warriors prop Sam Lisone is set to be rubbed out for two weeks for a crusher tackle on the Wests Tigers' Thomas Mikaele.

Lisone was on Monday charged with grade one dangerous contact by the NRL match review committee and is poised for a stint on the sidelines because of his poor record.

The charge only carries a 100-point penalty, meaning players can usually play the next week with an early guilty plea.

But his penalty carries significant loading because he has two prior similar offences and one prior non-similar offence during the past two years, as well as having 72 carryover points.

It means that even with an early guilty plea, he will miss his side's clashes with Manly and the Gold Coast.

Meanwhile, South Sydney forward Liam Knight will fight a chicken wing charge at the NRL judiciary on Tuesday night.

Knight had been charged with a grade two dangerous contact offence - for which he was set to miss one week - but he is disputing the grading.
