Veteran Raider back for NRL Nines
Former Canberra star Jason Croker is set to make a cameo return for the Raiders at next month's NRL Auckland Nines.
The Raiders are seeking final approval from the NRL for the 42-year-old to be allowed in the tournament, emulating another former Raider in Ken Nagas, who played at the event in 2015.
If Croker is cleared to play he'll potentially line-up alongside nephew Lachlan Croker, who made his debut for the Raiders in last year's Nines.
Current Raiders skipper Jarrod Croker has led the team at the past two tournaments as well.
Jason Croker, an Australian representative at the World Nines in Fiji in 1997, played his 318th and final match for the Raiders in 2006.
"I'm excited about playing for the Raiders again but even more excited about the chance to run around with some of the young stars coming through the ranks at the club at the moment," Croker said.
