Tonga delivered a stirring war cry before their much-anticipated Test against the Kangaroos at Mt Smart Stadium.

A large Tongan contingent of supporters had flooded Auckland hours before kick-off, creating an electric atmosphere around the stadium pre-game, and that continued moments before the first whistle. 

When the teams walked onto the ground they were met with a rapturous applause from a sea of red in the stands, setting the tone for the incredible scenes still to come.

During an emotional rendition of the Tongan national anthem, Sika Manu and many of his teammates were visibly moved to tears as the crowd passionately sung along.

The red and white flags kept waving in the stadium when their high-profile recruit Andrew Fifita then led the team in an amazing war cry in front of the Kangaroos before kick-off in the historic Test.

The Aussies stood in a line to face the intimidating haka with the Tongan fans' deafening cheers adding to the chilling display.
