Tom Trbojevic wants NRL transfer system to please both players and fans
Manly Sea Eagles star Tom Trbojevic has provided a player's outlook on the issues with the NRL's transfer system amid criticism of the 12-month signing window.
The Brad Fittler medallist said he could understand both sides of the debate and hoped the right balance could be struck to please players and fans.
"As players, we enjoy the flexibility of being able to set ourselves up as soon as we can," he told 2GB's Wide World of Sports radio.

"But on the other side of it, I do understand how the fans … can be frustrated by it.
"It's definitely something that can be looked at and if we can get a system that keeps both parties happy, I think it would be a good idea."
The comments come after fans voiced their anger at Melbourne Storm's Brandon Smith who looks set to sign with the Rooster's from 2023 despite being contracted to the Storm for 2022.
Trbojevic will return to pre-season training at the Sea Eagles next week.
