Titans' halves contenders

HALFBACK OPTIONS FOR GOLD COAST COACH NEIL HENRY FOLLOWING KANE ELGEY'S SEASON-ENDING KNEE INJURY

DANIEL MORTIMER

The former Parramatta and Sydney Rooster has settled into a utility role at the Titans despite heading to Queensland in 2014 to attempt to become the club's first-choice No.7. Made five appearances at halfback for the Titans in 2015 but failed to fully convince in the role.

TYRONE ROBERTS

Roberts looks the main option for Henry following his off-season arrival from Newcastle. The most experienced No.7 in the club's ranks, Roberts has made over 80 starts in the NRL as a halfback and will almost certainly be the Titans' main playmaker in his first season at the club.

ASHLEY TAYLOR

A raw talent who has played for the junior Kangaroos, there's still plenty of doubt of whether 20-year-old Taylor is ready for the NRL. Made one start for Brisbane at the back end of 2015, injuring his hand in the process. Signed as a player for the future and unlikely to be handed the responsibility of being the main playmaker just yet.

KARL LAWTON

Promoted from the under-20s after signing a two-year deal, Lawton is a utility player with very little halfback experience. Unlikely to be given the nod at No.7 ahead of the club's other options.
